EPW - Cartier, European Watch and Clock Co, jump hour, 48mm, "Couteau" (knife-edge) very thin profile case with 5.8mm front/rear thickness with crystal included, 18K gold original European Watch and Clock Co case with eagle's head touchmarks (France), elegant green enamel initials to rear, 4-digit reference number 1174 to rear of pendant, eagle's head touchmark to bow, engine turned silvered dial with jump hour aperture within upper portion, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, 19J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#13229 within case rear, corresponding s#13229 as well as s#13010 to case band. Gross weight of assembled watch 35.7 dwt (55.7 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good jump hour function, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, small spot near lower center bridge screw; excellent dial with some light spotting which is most notable at lower perimeter between 20 and 30 minutes, small mild spot below final "R" of Cartier signature, few small paint flecks around hour aperture; excellent hand with finish loss at its tip; case shows very little wear, some fine scratches, micro-fine scratches throughout, no dents, enamel detail is fully intact, case opens and closes very tightly; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
